NOTICE! This is one of those brag pages we are supposed to include with our resumé. It tells you what an experienced person I am and that I'm basically a "nice guy." Having read this brief summary, feel free to skip directly to the resumé by clicking here.
My name is Sjon Ueckert (pronounced "Shawn Eckert"). I am in good health, single, unencumbered, optimistic and love doing what I do.
And what I do is compose predefined projects combining various types of media. I work with sound, video, stills, artwork, film, animation and digital media. I produce, edit, design, draw and photograph or film elements of these projects and load them into a shell, programmed to display these elements according to coded instructions. Then I record these composed projects onto any media desired, from film or video to CD / DVD-Rom.
Since I compose multimedia projects, I would have
to say that I am a
Multimedia
Composer - and that is
what I
do.
Actually, for the past four or five years, I have been working as a video editor. In the past year I have moved up to editing feature films,
so I guess I would now have to say that I am a film editor, and I like that better.
I spent many years working as a musician, traveling around the country. I have also worked extensively in film and video production and have owned my own multimedia company, IMP (The Interactive Multimedia Project).
I have produced CD-Roms for computer based training, directional kiosks, instructional kiosks and programs, portions of commercial web sites, interactive children's books, and presentation displays. I have also produced various television programs, commercials, music videos and public service announcements. I have also worked as a location scout and manager, a production supervisor, a first assistant director and a production manager on feature films. Now, I am an editor.
And that brings us to the question, what could you do with what I do?
